BTSym'22 - Satellite Event Perú - Call for Papers

Dear Researcher.

The BTSym'22 organizing committee invites researchers to attend and submit papers addressing the current research topics of interest. In 2022, the event after three days in duration, on November 9, 10 and 11,  at the Universidad Nacional del Altiplano de Puno, Peru (from 10:00am to 6:00pm). Proceedings of the event will be published by the Springer Nature publisher through the book Proceedings of the 8th Brazilian Technology Symposium - Emerging Trends and Challenges in Technology, and this book will be published in the series "Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies".

Indexing: The books of this series "Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies" are submitted to ISI ProceedingsEI-CompendexSCOPUSGoogle Scholar and Springerlink.

 

Call for Papers

The Brazilian Technology Symposium, is an excellent forum for presentations and discussions of the latest results of projects and development research, in several areas of knowledge,  in scientific and technological scope. 

This event seeks to bring together researchers, students and professionals from the industrial and academic sectors, seeking to create and/or strengthen the linkages between issues of joint interest. Participants are invited to submit research papers, case studies, articles of opinion or posters, showing studies, methodologies and results achieved in scientific level research projects, completion of course work for graduation, dissertations and theses.

Instruction for Authors

Publications Options:

For papers submitted to BTSym’22, we offer publishing as follows:

  • Publication in Conference Proceedings of Springer Nature: After peer reviewed by at least 2-3 experts, all the accepted papers will be published into International Proceedings published by Springer Nature, in the form of a book. This process of publishing is limited to 60 papers.

  •  Option Journal: BTSym Journal is published in partnership with Journal SN Applied Sciences. more information.

Submission Instructions:

  1. All papers must be preferably written in English to the Conference Proceedings of BTSym’22. The paper material (including texts, figures, tables, and references) must fit into 10 pages. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  2. For the preparation of their manuscripts, all authors are kindly urged to follow Springer's author formatting rules. The Author Guidelines document explains how to arrange a proceedings paper, as well as how to format elements (headings, figures, and references) using specified styles. It also gives some insight into how an article at Springer will be typeset. Use the template (MS WORD or Latex or Overleaf) to create your source document:

  3. For papers submitted to option A: The final version of a Full papers (.pdf, .doc) will be accepted via electronic submission system at https://equinocs.springernature.com/service/BTSym2022. In the Category section choose the PERU Option followed by the research topic.

  4. All papers must be original work that has not been published in another journal/publication, is not currently being considered by another journal/publication, and does not infringe on any existing copyright or other third-party rights. Plagiarism detection software will be used to scan and check all papers. Papers that contain plagiarized content will be rejected. Turnitin, a high-quality plagiarism software/tool, will be used to check for similarities, which will not exceed 15% including the reference section.

  5. One of the authors MUST register and present the paper at the conference. it is recommendable five (5) authors as a maximum per paper. WARNING: Once the article is submitted and the deadline has passed, it is not possible to change the list of authors or the order, and if the work is approved, this information will be utilized for the final publication. Each author is limited to no more than 3 submissions to the BTSym'22, which he/she is an author or co-author.

  6. Author Ethics and Copyright: To ensure objectivity and transparency in research and to ensure that accepted principles of ethical and professional conduct have been followed, authors should include information regarding sources of funding, potential conflicts of interest (financial or non-financial), informed consent if the research involved human participants, and a statement on welfare of animals if the research involved animals. In this case, organizers will reject such submissions and remove them from Conference Proceedings.   7. Policy on Plagiarism: Plagiarism can be unintentional or intentional when ideas, figures, data, and creative work are used but not cited in academic, professional, and personal work; you should properly cite a reference to the original work. We are profoundly aware that high-quality scholarly research is highly demanded. Due to this, we take reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred, including plagiarism, citation manipulation,  data falsification/fabrication, and Self-plagiarism. Note: The submitted manuscript is checked from licensed plagiarism software like Turnitin.

Paper Review Process:

  1. All submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. Submissions will be chosen based on technical merit, interest, applicability, and how well they fit a coherent and balanced technical program. We firmly believe that ethical conduct is the most essential virtual of any academic. Hence any act of plagiarism is a totally unacceptable academic misconduct and cannot be tolerated.

  2. Authors will receive feedback in the form of a peer review report. The paper peer review process and the outcomes presented in the review reports will be monitored and verified by the editorial committee.

Oral Presentation:

  • The BTSym 2022 official language is English. However, authors may present their papers in Spanish.

  • Among all approved submissions, probably some articles will be invited to make an oral presentation with approximate time of 10 minutes, as speaker in the BTSym'22 discussion panels (in development).

  • Authors and Attendees will receive BTSym'22 certificates.

Publication Process: 

  • All accepted and presented papers will be considered for publication by the Springer Nature publisher through the book Proceedings of the 8th Brazilian Technology Symposium - Emerging Trends and Challenges in Technology, and this book will be published in the series "Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies"
